You can also use your finished paper pumpkin as a cute Halloween decoration for your home or classroom. Watch the video tutorial below and follow along to make your own!

Step 1. Cut the orange paper into strips.
Cut your orange paper into long strips and attach a piece of double-sided tape to one end of each strip.
At DRAWINART, we used A4-sized colored cardstock. Cutting one A4 sheet into eight equal pieces will give you wider strips for making a larger paper pumpkin.

Step 2. Make a paper ring.
Use the double-sided tape to connect the ends of each paper strip, forming a circle.
Repeat this process to make several paper rings for your pumpkin.

Step 3. Make the green stem.
Roll a piece of green paper into a small cylinder and secure it with glue or double-sided tape.
You can also use an empty toilet paper roll to make the stem if you want to keep this pumpkin craft extra simple.

Step 4. Attach an orange paper strip to the stem.
Attach one long orange paper strip near the bottom of the green cylinder.
Make sure it is firmly secured. Clear tape or double-sided tape works better than glue for this step because the strip needs to stay in place as you add the paper rings.

Step 5. Add the paper rings.
Slide one orange paper ring at a time over the green cylinder.
Continue adding the rings to surround the cylinder and gradually build the rounded shape of your pumpkin.

Step 6. Complete your 3D paper pumpkin!
Once all the paper rings are in place, wrap another orange strip around the middle and secure it with tape to hold the pumpkin together.
