In celebration of the Year of the Snake, we’ve got a fun template ready to make a snake! Encourage your child to use their imagination and create their very own wiggly, curly snake. Snake activities for preschoolers, It’s a great way for them to show off their creativity!

You can find and download the template from the link below—just click and you’re all set to get started!

You’ll need the template, glue, scissors, and markers for this activity. If you want to make it even more fun, you can also have paints, crayons, or other art supplies ready so your child can color and decorate the snake however they like!

Start by drawing the snake’s eyes, then use scissors to carefully cut along the outside of the template to shape the snake.

Now, put some glue on the dotted line at the top. At Drawing Art, we used double-sided tape to make it easier to stick!

Please stick the eyes onto the snake's face.

Please stick the tongue inside the snake's face.

After decorating the snake’s body freely, fold it in a zigzag pattern. Then connect the pieces together to make it long all the way to the tail.

Attach the face to the body, and it's all done!

A colorful snake with all sorts of patterns is now complete! While making the snake together, take a moment to talk with your child about hopes and plans for the new year. We’ll be back again with more festive art activities for the New Year from DRAWINART!
