Here’s how to make a 3D ice cream scoop using colored paper with DRAWINART!

First, cut out several circles of the same size. Then, fold each circle in half. Next, glue the half circles together side by side. Once you're done, you'll see a round, three-dimensional shape that looks just like a scoop of ice cream.

We used pom-poms to represent the ice!

We filled a paper cup with lots of pom-poms to make it look like it's full of ice.

Try exploring different materials with your child and talk about what could be used to show ice.

“What looks cold?” “What feels like ice?” These kinds of questions can lead to fun discoveries!

The key ingredient in red bean shaved ice is, of course, the red beans! At DrawinArt, we used play cones to represent the red beans in our cup bingsoo.

Now, insert the ice cream stick! If you don’t want the pom-poms or play cones to fall out of the paper cup, closing it with a lid is a great idea.

Attach the ice cream scoop to the stick, then use the template to add fun toppings on top of your cup bingsoo.

Try asking your child, “What flavor do you think this is?” or “Hmm… what does this blue one taste like? Mommy thinks it might be mint—what do you think?”
