Excavator Craft for Kid Printable

Excavator Craft for Kid Printable

DRAWINART presents a Special Vehicle Craft Series designed to help kids learn through hands-on movement and creative play. In this series, children don’t just make vehicles—they move them with their own hands and discover what each vehicle does in real-life situations.

Our very first craft is the Excavator!

Excavators are commonly used at construction sites to dig and move soil. Through this activity, children can explore the role of an excavator while physically operating its moving parts, making learning both fun and memorable.

What You’ll Need

  • Printable template

  • Scissors

  • Glue

  • Craft knife (for adult use)

  • Markers or pens

  • Paper fasteners (brads) – the most important material!

How to Make

  1. Color the printable template freely using markers or pens.

  2. Make holes in the background template.

  3. Create holes in both the excavator arm and bucket.

  4. Connect all three parts using paper fasteners.

  5. Fold the template in half to complete the structure.

Now kids can move the excavator arm and bucket, just like a real machine, and pretend to dig and transport soil!
