An octopus has eight legs!
Place blue construction paper horizontally, fold it in half, then divide the bottom section into eight parts. Cut along the vertical lines to create the legs.
DRAWINART Tip:
To make kids’ art activities easier, DRAWINART has prepared a printable template.
Try printing it on colored paper for easy use 🙂

The key feature of octopus legs is the suction cups!
Octopus arms stick so well because of these suction cups. Observing real octopus pictures while crafting can be very helpful for kids’ art activities. Cut out small circles to make the suction cups.
DRAWINART Tip:
Using a slightly darker color than the octopus body
will make the craft look even better.

Attach the suction cups to the octopus legs.
DRAWINART Tip:
If you flip the paper over before gluing the suction cups, the printed black lines won’t show, making your octopus look cleaner and nicer.

Next, curl the octopus legs by rolling them gently.

Roll the template into a round shape and glue it together
to complete the octopus body 🙂

Now create the eyes and mouth to decorate the octopus face.
In kids’ art activities, it’s fun to express the octopus’s eyes in creative and playful ways!

Attach the eyes and mouth,
and your paper octopus for kids’ art activities is complete :D
