Materials Needed
Empty toilet paper roll
Colored paper
Mirror paper
Scissors
Tape
Circular paper
Straw
Clay or modeling dough

Decorate the Tube
Wrap the toilet paper roll with colored paper and decorate it however you like. This will be the outer body of your kaleidoscope.

Prepare the Mirrors
Cut the mirror paper into three rectangles, each the same height as the toilet paper roll.

Create the Mirror Prism
Place the three mirror pieces inside the tube in a triangular (prism) shape, with the reflective sides facing inward.

Design the Picture Wheel
Take a circular piece of paper and divide it into four equal sections. In each section, draw or color different weather scenes (sunny, rainy, snowy, cloudy, etc.). This adds variety to the kaleidoscope images.

Attach the Straw
Make a small hole in the center of the circle and insert a straw. Seal one end of the straw with clay to keep it stable.

Assemble the Kaleidoscope
Tape the straw securely to the outside of the toilet paper roll so the circular paper can rotate.

Observe the Magic
Look through the tube and slowly turn the circular paper. The mirror paper reflects the drawings, creating fascinating kaleidoscope patterns!
