This time, we’re making a fun summer craft—a child floating on a bright yellow duck tube! Your child can freely color the template, then cut and assemble it into a lively 3D figure that looks as if it’s bobbing on the water. They can draw their own face on the character to make it extra special, or add accessories like a swim cap or goggles for more personality. Once the finished figure is placed on a wavy water background, it feels almost like being at the pool or beach—an activity that sparks storytelling, imagination, and creative thinking.

After coloring, help your child carefully cut along the outline. They can decorate it with a pool scene or even swap it for a beach background for a fresh twist. This not only strengthens fine motor skills but also encourages flexibility and problem-solving as they adapt the design.

The body of the person is a long rectangular shape—roll it into a cylinder and secure it. This step develops spatial awareness and the ability to follow sequential steps.

Apply glue to the area marked with a dotted line.

Attach the character to the center of the duck float, and it’s complete! You now have a cheerful scene of a child enjoying the water. This simple mix of coloring and 3D assembly is a wonderful way to spend creative time together, fostering your child’s concentration, self-expression, and fine motor development—all while making summer memories at home.
