Last time, I introduced how to make an African penguin with a travel theme. Today, Iโm going to show you how to make a giraffe! On an African safari, you can see all kinds of animals. I didnโt get to go on a safari during my trip, but since I love giraffes, I visited a place called โGiraffe House.โ There, I got to meet several giraffes and even feed them during a 45-minute experience!

Youโll need the template, scissors, and markers.

Color the template using different materials. If your child can use watercolor paints, they can first draw the giraffeโs spots with crayons and then paint the yellow parts with watercolor.

At DRAWINART, we cut out the outline of the giraffe and glued it onto colored construction paper. Instead of colored paper, you can also use a magazine page or a photo of a jungle for the background.

After coloring the giraffeโs face, cut along the outline with scissors.

Then, fold the giraffeโs face to make it three-dimensional. Apply glue to the tabs on the face and attach it to the giraffeโs neck.

Then, glue on the mouth too.

We decorated the area around the giraffe with paper leaves.
Your African giraffe is complete! The face pops out nicely, making your giraffe look extra cool. Try using colored paper or other fun materials to decorate it however you like. Iโll be back next time with another fun art activity!
